Why are you surrendering? : These birds belong to my daughter. She is now in college and she is unable to give them the care/attention they need.
What's this bird's history?: We got the birds from Alma, MI at the end of 2020. The were young when we got them and that was their only home. So we are technically their 2nd home.
What is the gender of your bird?: 1 Male, 1 Female. We were under the impression they were both males until one laid an egg. We then got fake eggs to see if that helped from laying future eggs.
Please physically describe your bird(s):: Boy bird is grey with a yellow face and orange cheeks. Girl bird is all yellow with orange cheeks. Wings haven't been clipped.
Is there any health/vet history?: The girl went to the vet because her eye wasn't opening all the way. We got eye drops for her.
What does your bird eat?: Pellets
What are your birds favorite things?: Toast (the boy bird) likes bells. Butter (the girl bird) likes shredding toys.
Is there anything your bird strongly dislikes or is fearful of?: Fearful of random people, sudden sounds, sounds of other birds. We leave on a night light, they don't seem to like it completely dark.
Does your bird prefer men or women or is there no preference?: No preference
Does your bird pluck or self mutilate? : No
Does your bird like to be handled?: Not the biggest fan of being handled and it's been a few months. They are happy in the cage but they do prefer to be out of it. They love attention. They are not stick trained.
Do you smoke in your home with your bird?: No
Anything else you need us to know?: We have a large bird cage and a "normal" size bird cage that you get at a bird store.
