Looking for the Right Home for Keanu – Siberian Husky (Maine)
It breaks my heart to write this, but my Siberian Husky Keanu needs a new home.
Keanu is a 4-year-old AKC-registered Siberian Husky with papers. He’s an intelligent, beautiful, and high-energy boy who loves adventure. He bonds deeply with people and does well with older kids (9+) and female dogs. He’s affectionate and thrives when he has an active lifestyle like hiking, running, or sledding.
Unfortunately, Keanu has a very strong prey drive and cannot live safely around chickens, goats, or other small animals. Despite training and management, he has killed livestock, and for his safety and theirs, he cannot remain in his current home.
✅ What Keanu Needs
A home with no small animals or livestock
Someone familiar with Huskies or northern/working breeds
Secure fencing (Huskies are escape artists!)
A family or individual who can give him the exercise and structure he needs
He does well with people, older children, and female dogs

1. The Adopter agrees to provide Keanu with a safe, loving, and permanent home.
2. Keanu is not to be resold, given away, or surrendered to a shelter/rescue. If the Adopter cannot keep him for any reason, he must be returned to the Current Owner with no refund of the adoption fee.
3. The Adopter understands that Keanu has a strong prey drive and cannot be housed with livestock, chickens, or other small animals.
4. The Adopter agrees to provide proper care, exercise, housing, food, and veterinary attention.
5. The Adopter accepts full responsibility for Keanu’s actions and behavior once in their care.
Adoption Fee:
$100 adoption fee paid by Adopter to Current Owner at time of transfer.
