Ozzy lived with another dog with his previous owner, but he was raised with him. We have not been able to get Ozzy and our other dog to get along, which is a big reason why we're looking to rehome him. He does have separation anxiety, but this has greatly improved on Prozac. When I first took him he licked his paws, visibly shook, whined excessively, and I couldn't leave the room. The only time he gets anxious now is if I go outside without him. Ozzy does not do well with strangers. He has lunged at them in the past so we make it a point to keep him away from anyone he doesn't know. He fully knows and trusts everyone in our family though so he gets excited to see us and loves to get attention. His previous owner told us he can be possessive of food and toys but we haven't had any food issues with him. The only issue we've had with him guarding toys is when he's anxious. Aside from when Ozzy's anxiety is triggered, he is a very sweet and calm dog. It is very apparent when he starts to become/is anxious - it's like he's two different dogs. We've worked to avoid anything that could trigger him and haven't had any issues at all. But by avoiding triggers and keeping him apart from our other dog, he is being isolated which we don't want to continue doing.
Due to his anxiety we feel he would do best in a home with no other pets or children so nothing would trigger him. He will either need to be tied to a run outside or in a fenced-in yard - but the fence has to be high since he can jump so high! Ozzy is house trained, crate trained and knows how to sit, lay down and roll over. He does well on a leash for walks and is a quick learner. Ozzy is up to date on his vaccines and has no health issues.
